CASCADE SYSTEM: Breathing Air Cascade system is a Fixed Air Support System fitted onboard offshore, onshore, drilling platforms, offshore accommodation, support Barges, supply vessels to rescue human lives from highly poisonous, corrosive and flammable gas like Hydrogen Sulphide.

Solas has developed the system, which is simple for its operation, and durable with its S.S. piping, fittings and hot dip galvanized hard wears. We are supplying H₂S specialists and H₂S equipment to numerous drill site locations both offshore and onshore. We have developed our own line of H₂S packages and associated accessory equipment packages, which are broadly accepted & appreciated.

Each BA cascade cylinders contain 300 cubic feet of air at 2400psi or 5000psi and conforms to DOT 3AAA specification. Cascades are fitted with high pressure whip c/w ball valve .A high volume air regulator is mounted on the control panel of each rack. A low pressure warning bell alerts the user that the pressure in the cylinder has dropped to 500 psi or less.

Our Rental SCBA are maintained to strict standards ensuring safe operation when they are needed. Before any of our packs leave our facilities they are all function tested and flow benched using our BioSystems certified PosiChek 3. A certificate is issued for each pack showing the PosiChek results

In the year 2003 we were awarded contract from PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OF OMAN (PDO), to provide suitable Multi User H₂S Life Support Systems (MUHLS), detection & monitoring equipment, warning systems, related personnel and other ancillary services to work on Well locations, Frac or Well Test Units, Hoists or other rig-less operations with increased risk of H₂S, as and when required, on Sites in the Sultanate of Oman, as directed by PDO, for the duration of 3 years (extendable to 4 years).

These Services are intended to enhance the safety of personnel at Company's drilling, work over or testing sites where there is a risk of escape of H₂S gas to the surface

We have successfully completed 1 year without lost time incident for which Petroleum Development of Oman has honored us accordingly.
