Solas was formed in the year 1988 in the Emirates of Sharjah to provide Professional services in the field of Safety and Survival Equipment (Life Saving Equipment), Fire Fighting and Navigational Equipment for the Marine and offshore industries in the Gulf. We have achieved the Quality Control Management award accredited by ISO 9002. Our authorized Life Raft Service Station is from the approved list of UAE Ministry of Communications (Marine Affairs Department), United States Coast Guard, D.N.V., Lloyds, B.V., G.L., Maritime Register of Russia and all other major Classification Societies.

Over a decade Solas has been a major supplier of Marine Safety, Survival Equipment and Fire Fighting Equipment as well as other Marine Electronic and Navigational Equipment. Our supplies of equipment and Service Facilities are in compliance with SOLAS Regulations and we maintain our inventory approved by SOLAS, DOT (MSA, UK), USCG and other Maritime Authorities. Solas' wide range cover more than 10,000 stock items such as Life Saving and Fire Fighting Equipment.

The Head Office is situated at AL Jadaf Ship Docking Yard in Dubai, which is situated in the strategic area for ship repair at AL Jadaf Ship Docking Yard has a built-in area of 10,000 sq. ft. plus 5,000 sq ft space in the mezzanine as an additional storage facility. Our workshop facility is situated in Layyah Jetty, Sharjah Port (Mina-khalid), spread out over an area of 75,000 sq.ft.

Our Temperature Controlled Life Boat repair facility at Sharjah is situated at Layyah Jetty, near Mina Khalid Port. Our Sharjah boat repair yard covers an area of approximately 15,000 sq ft.

The inspections are being conducted regularly by fully licensed and well trained authorized personnel as our aim is to Serve and Save the Lives of those at Sea. Quality comes first - Safety is our priority.
