Solas Marine Services Company, a family-owned concern, based in the United Arab Emirates, started operations in 1988 to cater to the growing demands of professional services in the field of marine safety equipment and ancillary services relating to marine craft and equipment, fire fighting and rescue operations, and facility management. Over the years, Solas Marine has built up a reputation of being a reliable and efficient Lifeboat/Liferaft service provider to vessels calling UAE ports and is the Authorized Agent, Supplier, and Service provider to the Marine & Offshore industries in the Gulf region. The supplies of equipment are in compliance with international SOLAS regulations. The services and inventory are approved by SOLAS, DOT (MSA, UK) USCG, and other Maritime Authorities. Solas offers a wide range covering more than 10,000 stock items such as LSA and FFA equipments. With our overseas trained and experienced staff and the internationally connected principal companies, Solas in the last couple of years has scaled up its operation capacity considerably and expanded its operations to the following countries: Bahrain, India, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, consolidating all its activities under one integrated service.

Quality and Service Standards

Solas has constantly achieved the Quality Management System award accredited by the ISO 9001: 2000 since inception.. Being a quality-oriented organization, Solas has its services valued by HSE & OHSAS and accredited to DNV standards. Our service standards are approved by the UAE Ministry of Communications, United States Coast Guard and all major classification societies like ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, Class NKK, Korean Register, IRS, BV, GL, and Russian Maritime Register.

Infrastructure

SOLAS Group comprises of six companies operating out of different locations in the UAE to render prompt services to our valued customers. Our Head Office “Solas Marine Services Co. L.L.C.” is situated in Al Jadaf Ship Docking Yard, Dubai, and has a built-in area space of 10,000 sq. ft. and an additional mezzanine storage space of 5,000 sq ft. Our Workshop/ servicing facility “Solas Safety Equipment Establishment” is located in Dubai Investment Park and has a total area space of 15,932 Sq. mtrs. It includes areas for receiving and stocking customer equipment, servicing area, material handling, quality control and inspection area, stores, delivery and shipment area, and offices. All the Lifeboat servicing operations are carried out in Sharjah Yard. Our Civil Defense Approved venture “Solas Safety & Fire Protection Services Co. L.L.C.” is also situated in the Dubai Investment Park. Apart from this, we have one warehouse cum office in Fujairah with storage space of 5500 sq. ft. Another representative office is based in Abu Dhabi.
